Yesterday, I visited the store to purchase a half bushel of jumbo crabs. The price for a half bushel was $150. However, they only had two dozen jumbo crabs, which, according to them, was approximately twelve crabs short of a half bushel. I inquired if they could provide me with all the jumbo crabs they had and supplement the half bushel with #1 crabs (i.e., large crabs). They agreed to my request, but then charged us the price as if we were purchasing them at the per dozen price rather than the half bushel price. I politely explained that they were overcharging us by nearly $100. However, they either failed to comprehend my explanation or deliberately chose to be obtuse in order to maximize their revenue. After approximately ten minutes, we departed the store. This experience was highly negative. I have previously purchased seafood from this establishment and have been satisfied with their service. However, I was astounded by their actions. I will not be returning to this store in the future.

This place is awesome when you want fresh steamed crabs. Got a dozen jumbos, the only jumbo was the one on top, the rest were all #1s but full of meat. I remember back in my day you could get a bushel for around $95... not any more! That's what a dozen runs these days.

#1 Take-home Seafood Retailer in Tidewater... 2026 Great prices, easy access and always accommodating. Picked-up half dozen Jumbo blue crab, 15 minutes notice. Steamed to perfection with JO #2, heavy seasoning of course!

Been back here, getting crab several times and they still serve up nice crabs. The quality of the crabs and service are five stars........the price is three stars. Definitely will be back.

Friendly staff with fresh seafood. They are a local family owned seafood shop . They own their boats and catch daily, so you know it is fresh. Recommend the large jumbo blue crabs and female crabs. The female crabs were super sweet. The jumbo ones were tasty and easy to eat. They steam them for you with seasoning. Affordable prices and prompt service. Will come back.
